#176 How To Help The Addict You Love (with Elizabeth Burton-Phillips)

This week I spoke Elizabeth Burton-Phillips, a friend of mine. Liz is founder of the charity DrugFAM - DrugFAM work with families, friends and partners affected by someone else’s addiction including those bereaved by addiction.

Liz is also author of Mum, Can You Lend Me Twenty Quid?: What drugs did to my family. She was Awarded an MBE in The 2017 Queen’s Birthday Honours List for ‘services to people who experience drug addiction and their families.’

This is a very personal podcast where we discuss how addiction not only affects the addict but the people who love them and support them. Liz lost one of her sons from addiction and now she spends her life helping those who are going through the same experience she did.
