(2:41) “I think there are a few things that define a great start-up and a great business and often they are the ‘unsexy’ things. Often when we think about a business and having a cool brand and making a slash, we think it’s all about how we look or how everything is presented.... how glossy it is. However, I think some of the basic principles of having a successful company and running a great business is managing your margins….and sustaining the test of time.” --Susie Moore
(6:55) “It does vary based on if you have a product-based business, you know how big your team is and so forth. Sometimes there can be some upfront costs but you want to be keeping at least half. So for every dollar that you make, you want to be keeping 50 cents. Remember there are taxes, life, and everything! So if you are spending $10K on something you want to making $20K at least.”--Susie Moore
